The 2011 Band Expo is one of the largest competitive OMEA events in southwestern Ohio.  As a result, the need for parking will exceed the high school capacity.  There will be extra parking available off of Forest Road at the following locations:

  • Stein Mart east parking lot (east corner of Beechmont and Forest)
  • Anderson Hills United Methodist Church
  • Mercy Professional Building bottom & top levels of parking deck (east corner of Beechmont and Five Mile)
  • Old Wellington Building (access lot from Beechmont or through Anderson Hills Church lot)
  • New Wellington Building - access from Five Mile Rd.

These parking locations will be marked.  Other parking opportunities may be available nearby.  Look for signs and volunteers to guide you.

The stadium is located behind the high school.  A drop off area will be available as well as some handicapped parking in front of the stadium.  Band bus and equipment truck parking is available off of Forest Road via the first high school entrance on the left just past the baseball field.

The festivities will begin at 2:00pm with the first of the many competing bands beginning at 2:15 PM.

Robert Glutz Photography will be taking candid shots of each group throughout the day and placing them on their website for your viewing and you may purchase the pictures at your convenience on this website: http://www.glutzphotography.com/.

Etiquette Guidelines

In order for the Marching Band adjudicators to better hear the bands' performances, there are a few etiquette rules the spectators are asked to honor.

  • Please refrain from talking during the Marching Band performances.
  • Please remain seated during the Marching Band performances.
  • If you have small children with you during the performance, please keep them seated and quiet.
  • When each Marching Band performance has concluded, Clap and Cheer!

Thank you for your consideration and cooperation.

Band Grams

Cheer your favorite marching band member on to new heights!  Send a "one line" message for only $1.00.  Our Emcee will announce messages during the scheduled judges breaks.  Parents... let your student know you care, tell them of your pride or that you are cheering for them.  Students... send a "funny" line to a friend (in good taste of course).  Look for the Band Gram sales table in the concessions area and behind the stands.  NOTE: Due to OMEA Marching Band Competition Regulations, Band Grams can only be read during judge's breaks.
